The World Cup announced on Sunday the full schedule for the 2026 tournament, including the opening match and final. The World Cup will be held from June 11th to July 19th across North America, from Canada to Mexico. Here’s a complete list of where matches will be held, including the biggest matches:
2026 World Cup Opening Match
Matches begin on June 11th in Mexico City, with a second match also taking place in Guadalajara on the same day.
2026 World Cup USA Opening Game
The first game will be held in the US on June 12th at SoFi Stadium. SoFi is home to the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers.
2026 World Cup Canada Opening Match
The Canadian team will also begin hosting duties in Toronto from June 12th.
2026 World Cup Finals
The winning team will hoist the World Cup trophy at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

These are all host cities for the 2026 World Championship and the number of matches to be held in each location. Listed alphabetically.
Atlanta – World Cup 8 games
Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be home to five group stage matches, one round of 32 match, one round of 16 match and one semi-final match.
Boston – World Cup 7 games
Beantown will host five group stage games (one round of 32 game and one quarterfinal game) at Gillette Stadium.
Dallas – World Cup 9 games
AT&T Stadium, also known as Jerry World, hosts the most games in the city. A total of five games will be played in the group stage: two in the round of 32, one in the round of 16, and one in the semifinals.
Guadalajara – 4 matches
All four games at Estadio Akron will be in the group stage, including the second game on opening day.
Houston – Seven Games
NRG Stadium, home of the Texans, will host five group stage games, followed by Round of 32 and Round of 16 games.
Kansas City – 6 games
Chiefs fans have long made Arrowhead Stadium one of the loudest stadiums in the country. They will have a chance to make some noise in four group stage games, one round of 32 game, and one quarterfinal game.
Los Angeles – 8 games
In addition to hosting the group stage opener, the United States will also host four group stage games, two Round of 32 games, and one quarterfinal game.
Mexico City – 5 games
North America’s largest city will host three group stage matches at Estadio Azteca, one in the Round of 32 and one in the Round of 16.
Miami – Seven Games
Messi’s new home will host four group stage matches, 32 round-of-round matches, one quarter-final match and the third-place match.
Monterrey – 4 games
The third Mexican host city will host three group stage matches and round of 32 matches.
New York/New Jersey – 8 games
In addition to the honor of hosting the final at MetLife Stadium, New York/New Jersey will be home to five group stage games (one in the Round of 32 and one in the Round of 16).
Philadelphia – 6 games
The City of Brotherly Love will be at full strength for five group stage matches and one round of 16 match.
San Francisco/Bay Area – 6 games
SoCal gets the national opener, while NorCal gets five group stage games and one round of 32 game.
Seattle – 6 games
Lumen Field, home of the 2019 MLS Cup champion Sounders, will host four group stage games, including one Team USA game, Round of 32 games and Round of 16 games.
Toronto – 6 games
In addition to hosting Canada’s opener, the country’s largest city will also host four group stage games and one round of 32 game.
Vancouver – Seven Games
British Columbia will play one more game than its Ontario opponent, including five group stage games, round of 32 games and round of 16 games.
