Nomad is running a clearance sale on various accessories on their website, with the most notable being their original Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger — available in black or silver for $95 (save $55), or a very fancy gold “limited edition” for $120 (save $30).
This is the original first-generation model released last year, which can simultaneously charge your MagSafe iPhone, Apple Watch, and compatible AirPods (or other wireless charging-enabled earphones). It’s made from a mix of aluminum and glass, giving it a nice weight, and is nearly identical to the improved model released by Nomad shortly thereafter, which adds fast charging for the Apple Watch. While being able to fast-charge your Apple Watch Series 7 and newer models is a great feature, the improved Base One Max is pretty pricey at $170. Ouch.
Even at the discounted price of the original Base One Max, you get a simple 3-in-1 wireless charger for cheap. However, many chargers on the market are only “MagSafe compatible” and only max out at 7.5W for even the latest iPhones. The MagSafe pad on the Base One Max charges iPhones at speeds up to 15W. It’s also Qi compatible, so you can place your non-magnetic iPhone or Android phone on the pad for a slow trickle charge. And if you value simple aesthetics and premium materials, the Base One Max has one of the best-looking designs on the market.
