Recent activities of the Midland Police Department and Midland County Sheriff’s Office compiled by Editor-in-Chief Dan Chalk.
11:26 p.m.-Midland Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Sylvan for a domestic altercation.
9:03 p.m.-Midland Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Jefferson for a lost property search.
8:29 p.m.-A deputy returned the wallet of a 64-year-old Homer Township man that was found in a nearby road.
7:51pm-Officers were dispatched to a business in Coleman on a complaint of malicious property damage causing $100 worth of damage. Officers spoke with a 42-year-old suspect from Coleman.
5:16pm – Police were dispatched to a residence in Jerome Township to investigate a delayed report of a crime of sexual assault.
4:33 p.m.-A 31-year-old woman was found to be in possession of a controlled substance while undergoing treatment at MyMichigan Medical Center. A report has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office.
3:01 PM – Officers spoke with a 51-year-old man who discovered a handgun that had fallen out of a moving vehicle. Officers located the owner of the gun, who stated he had accidentally left the gun on the bumper of his vehicle before leaving his residence. The handgun was returned to the owner, who was instructed on gun responsibility.
1:14pm-Midland Police responded to a property damage crash on West Indian in Jerome.
10:35 a.m.-Midland Police responded to a personal property damage accident in the 6900 block of Eastman.
8:46 a.m. – A deputy spoke with a 60-year-old Ingersoll Township man regarding fraudulent transactions on his business bank statement. The man filed a claim with his bank and was refunded the fraudulent transactions.
