USA TODAY named Ford Fireworks one of the best places to see fireworks in America. Now it’s up to the public to decide which display is best. The Parade Company is pleased to announce that USA TODAY has nominated Ford Fireworks as one of the best places to see fireworks this summer.
Whether you can become number one is in the hands of the public.
“Ford Fireworks is one of America’s largest and most spectacular fireworks shows, and we are honored to have been nominated by USA TODAY.” said Tony Michaels, president and CEO of The Parade Company, which produces the show. The most spectacular fireworks display in America was held, the news release said.
This summer it will be held on June 24th from 10pm
Now in its 66th year, this spectacular fireworks display lights up the Detroit skyline between Canada and the United States and attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators to downtown Detroit.
Voting for the best place to watch fireworks begins today and ends at 11:59 a.m. EST on May 13th.
The public can vote online daily for Ford Fireworks’ “Best Place to Watch Fireworks,” nominated for the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Voting can also be done on theparade.org and The Parade Company social media platforms.
“We are honored to work with the great team at Ford Motor Company to bring this world-class event to the people of Detroit and our region,” Michaels added.
As the producer of Ford Fireworks, Parade Company will select the musical arrangements and work exclusively with Zambelli Fireworks to create a show consisting of more than 10,000 fireworks effects visible for miles along the Detroit River. This year’s show, themed “Coloring the Sky with Sunshine,” is once again free and open to the public, with spectacular views from Hart Plaza, Bell’s Isle, and more.
Ford’s fireworks can be seen on WDIV-TV’s (Channel 4) live coverage from the event. WJR and Paul W. Smith will also provide special radio broadcasts.
