here we go again. LeaksApplePro is back. This time, it is claimed that the storage tiers of the iPhone 16 Pro could start at his 256GB, with last year’s model starting at his 128GB.

The account makes no attempt to claim that it has any supply chain sources to back this up, merely saying that Apple “seems like it could” increase base storage to 256GB.
What is the basis for this claim?
Apple may be considering increasing the base storage of the iPhone 16 Pro to 256GB, according to people close to the industry.
As a result, an unspecified number of people believe that Apple is “considering” or “might” make this change.
What do we actually know?
Nothing yet.
What we know is history. Both iPhone 14 Pro models had the same 128GB of base storage, but this changed with the iPhone 15 lineup.
The iPhone 15 Pro remained at the 128GB base tier and had the same starting price of $999. In contrast, the larger Pro Max model was bumped up to his 256GB starting point, but also saw a corresponding $100 price increase. It’s not that Apple has offered more storage for the same price, but rather that the company has effectively reduced the price of his 128GB bottom tier at $1,099.
