Kumho Tire USA has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) tire lineup with the introduction of the Majesty 9 Solus TA91 EV and Crugen HP71 EV.
Both tires incorporate Kumho Tires’ K-Silent technology, which aims to reduce interior noise and improve overall comfort. This technology uses sound-absorbing foam material in the tire structure and a specially designed tread pattern to dissipate noise.
The Majesty 9 Solus TA91 EV is designed for drivers of EV coupes, sedans, and CUVs, while the Crugen HP71 EV is specifically designed for CUVs and SUVs, offering “the highest level of feel and quiet ride quality, making it ideal for drivers of all levels. Designed to improve Weather performance.”
In addition to improving comfort, both tires are designed to reduce rolling resistance, which increases the range per charge of electric vehicles, Kumho said.
The Majesty Solus TA91 EV measures 18 inches to 21 inches, and the Crugen HP71 EV measures 19 inches to 22 inches. Both come with a 50,000 mile warranty.
As an OE supplier to manufacturers such as Kia Motors and Hyundai, Kumho says its EV tire lineup is compatible with five EV-equipped products in North America and six OE-equipped products outside of North America. Stated.
