Celtics fans will reportedly see some familiar faces cheering them on when Team USA takes the court during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday that USA Basketball has already confirmed 11 players to its 12-man roster for the upcoming summer tournament, with Celtics teammates Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday joining the roster. It was reported that he is listed as a member.
The 11 players who have reportedly qualified for Team USA are:

- Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
- Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns
- Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers

- Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers
- Bam Adebayo, Miami Heat
- Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves)
The U.S. team will try to win its fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal this summer, with Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr at the helm of the program.
Tatum and Holiday won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were held in Japan a year later due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tatum put together another impressive season for the top-seeded Celtics in 2023-24. The 26-year-old forward averaged 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the field.
Holiday’s scoring (12.5 points per game) has dipped so far in his first season in Boston, but his defensive ability, 3-point shooting, playmaking poise, and winning resume make the veteran That’s likely factored into Team USA’s decision to bring the point guard back.
Team USA still has one roster spot left, and Kerr and his staff have no shortage of attractive options to turn to. Two other Celtics were included in the initial pool of 41 players that Team USA considered for roster spots for Jaylen Brown and Derrick White.
