I’ve been lucky enough to try out a lot of new cars, which is generally a good thing. But I don’t understand why so many automakers still try to convince me that their satellite navigation systems aren’t always like the bee’s knees. No, like many other sensible people, I tend to plug in and connect with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay when it comes to maps and knowing where I’m going. In my opinion, there are few, if any, in-vehicle systems that can compete with Apple and Google’s products right now.

Best wireless Android Auto adapter: Eliminate the cables
Android Auto is Google’s replacement for your car’s infotainment system. If you want to use it wirelessly, you’ll need one of these adapters.
But it will get better. The AAWireless Android Auto Dongle is a tiny little gadget designed to make it easy to get connected and stay connected. The company created this device to streamline connectivity and allow you to enjoy all the features Android Auto has to offer without the hassle of connecting cables or pairing your phone. The setup process could be a little easier, but once you get there, it’s great.

Design, look and construction of materials
Compact, easy to apply, and cute
Not much, but I think the design and construction of the AAWireless dongle is good. It is compact with dimensions of just 9 x 49 x 12 mm and weighs almost nothing. A short but good quality connection cord is included in the box. However, this was fine for me to get setup and running. Apart from a small booklet, that’s it. My only concern is that if you tend to misplace small things, you might end up losing it in your car or at home when you’re not using it. I’m a little concerned though.
It was also recommended to update the firmware during installation, which was completed without any fuss.
Ease of setup and installation
Installation takes a few minutes
I read several product reviews before purchasing the AAWireless dongle, and it seemed like there was a problem with the setup process. Indeed, all the problems I’ve had can be traced to not looking into potential problems ahead of time. A small manual is included in the box, but it doesn’t offer much in the way of instructions. Instead, I was directed to AAWireless.app. There is also an option to scan his QR code on the back of the booklet.
In either case, the AAWireless app download screen will be displayed. It is quick, easy and seamless to install. It was also recommended to update the firmware during installation, which the app handled without any hassle. The manufacturer recommends doing this. This means using the latest version, as it may help your device work with lesser-known brands and head units.
Similarly, before purchasing an AA Wireless dongle, it’s worth checking out the company’s website where you can see which cars and phones are compatible. One thing to note is that it doesn’t work on Huawei devices. So, if you have a Huawei device, check out our Android Auto wireless adapter guide.
User experience and app interaction
Support and troubleshooting
The AAWireless app is pretty cool. The all-black design is easy on the eyes and allows you to see what you’re doing even if you’re struggling with strong light inside the car. The home page of the software is also very simple, with four main panes where you can select your device, update if necessary, and pair your phone. In case you need help on the go.[ヘルプ]and[サポート]There are also tabs.
So far, it seems to be working well. However, please note that the AA Wireless website has some excellent support information.
The latter can be helpful if you run into problems during setup. This includes a set of graphics that allow you to troubleshoot if your dongle is not working properly. But the best part is that the app did most of the work for me. Once you connect your phone to the AA Wireless dongle via Bluetooth, you can now connect via Wi-Fi. Your device will then disconnect from Bluetooth and switch to using Wi-Fi instead.
In theory, you only need to do this once, and every time you get in your car and try to connect, Wi-Fi will do the heavy lifting and automatically connect to your phone. So far, it seems to be working well. Please note that some cars and head units may drop the connection from time to time, so if you need troubleshooting, AA Wireless has great support information on his website. please. Of course, with so many different brands of cars and cell phones out there, it’s no surprise that a gremlin or two pops up from time to time. The most obvious thing to do if you run into any issues is to keep your apps updated.
Verdict: Is AAWireless Android Auto Dongle worth it?
I love this gadget and find it very valuable to me. Not only does it eliminate the hassle of connecting to Android Auto without cables, but it also lets you use your favorite apps. Google Maps is the easiest for me, but besides that he also works well for Waze, Spotify, etc. It’s still early days, but I’m happy with the setup and performance so far. Despite this, I don’t really have many issues and the app supports me and troubleshoots any issues that arise. Overall, the AA Wireless Android Auto Dongle is quite a success story.
