Art news:

TAOS — Taos Lifestyle will welcome renowned musician Paula Cole to the Taos Center for the Arts, 133 Paseo del Pueblo Norte in Taos, on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m.

In 1996, Paula Cole released her second self-produced album, This Fire. It was sensational and a double platinum smash. Her first single “Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?” Her songwriting was loved by traditionalists, feminists, the LGBTQIA community, and the entire world.

Cole received seven Grammy nominations, becoming the first woman to be nominated for Producer of the Year without a collaborator. Her second single, the anthemic “I Don’t Want to Wait,” dominated the charts for a year and was later revived once again as the popular theme song for “Dawson’s Creek.”

Cole is planning a concert tour in 2024 to celebrate the release of “Lo.” The Taos show is her only stop in New Mexico on the tour. The tour will take you to Los Angeles, Phoenix, Taos, and St. Augustine.

“Taos has a lot to offer people in the spring, and we hope people will come to Taos and make plans for a weekend getaway,” said Mary Domit, program producer and CEO of Taos Lifestyle. “There is,” he said.

Tickets are $55 in advance and $60 at the door.Tickets available here.
