With iOS 17.4, you can set your iPhone to always request a one-hour security delay no matter where you are.

2. Tap Face ID and passcode
3. Scroll down and tap Stolen device protection

Your device requires a one-hour security delay whenever you or someone else tries to access or change certain settings on your iPhone, whether you’re in a familiar location like your home.
Stolen device protection only protects some settings, so you must take steps to protect other information. For example, Apple says that stolen device protection doesn’t completely protect your finances because he can still use your iPhone’s passcode for purchases with Apple Pay.
Apple recommends everyone turn on Stolen Device Protection, even if you don’t always need the one-hour security delay.
