To begin the operation, the iPhone box must be properly aligned, which is said to take about 20 seconds. Once you have the machine in place, it will take 15-30 minutes to update your iPhone to the latest stable iOS version.
This means that if a user buys a new iPhone, especially one manufactured a few months ago, they won’t have to spend more than 20 minutes updating the device to the latest version before using it. On top of that, it also means Apple can push software updates to even unopened devices to fix bugs and improve security. For now, the technology is limited to the United States, but in the coming days, Apple plans to further expand its Presto iPhone software update technology to other markets.
