Phoenix, Arizona – On the third day of the USA Basketball Junior National Team’s April minicamp, the field of players was cut in half. The 2025 players held a scrimmage offsite. I stayed in the gymnasium with participants from his Class of 2026 and his Class of 2027, further deepening the atmosphere of the young class.
It’s the last day of camp. Here are the USA Basketball Junior National Team’s top performers from Day 3 of his April minicamp.
On3 MVP: 4-star PG Deron Rippey (2026)
Even if you share the court with top athletes, Deron Rippey’s There will be an explosion sound. One possible reason for his notable outburst is his pace of play. At 6-foot-1, he touches the paint at will. In this environment, he showed great performance. When the defense collapsed, he dispersed. If the defense dropped, it became a floater. And if he got into the defense’s hips, he finished on or above the rim. Rippy looked like a pure point guard today, and the USA Basketball minicamp veteran consistently showed positive play.
2. 4-star SG Jason Crow (2026)
The scoring power is jason crow jr. It’s hard to deny. The left-handed guard displayed a smooth floor game as he probed inside the half court and took jump shots. His shooting ability makes him a constant threat even today. The 6-foot guard looked more comfortable bouncing than catching, but his shooting form was consistent.
3. 4 Star SF Elijah Williams (2026)
Elijah Williams What made him stand out today was how confident he was making jump shots. When he’s not doing that, he can get a little lost in the shuffle, but as a 6-foot-6 floor spacer he becomes a real weapon. Williams, the son of Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams, is a big player with size and linear athleticism. The next step is to continue to grow from the bounce and create opportunities. Overall, he had an outstanding day with his shooting touch and range.
4. 4 Star SG Jaden Hodge (2026)
jayden hodge He has a good physique, and has a physique that would allow him to gain weight without reducing his athletic ability too much. His feelings came to him today. Through his two sessions so far, Hodge has had flashes, but he’s more comfortable playing as a connector. Today, under the circumstances, he was looking for his opportunities a little more actively. His handle is efficient and he gets to his spot from the wing. And he showed great athleticism downhill to the rim. Hodge is the younger brother of Matthew Hodge, who signed with Villanova in 2024.
5. 4 Star SF Jalen Montonati (2026)
Jalen Montonati He is a noted shooter and veteran of the USA Basketball program, and played for the Junior National Team in the u16 FIBA Americas Championship last summer. What stood out to Montonati today was his off-ball cutting. The 6-foot-6 wing still knocked down some tough shots, but he moved well off the ball and put pressure on the rim with his cuts. How he continues to develop with his bounce and athleticism will continue to tell us his ultimate limits, but the shooting and confidence are already there as a high school sophomore.

science fiction Jaylan Mitchell (2027) I played calmly and comfortably. He had a good physique and his decision making on the ball was great. Although he didn’t see a jump shot, his handling led to a scoring opportunity.
