CALLABASSETT VALLEY — Carrabassett Valley Academy (CVA) proudly announces that five athletes have been selected to represent Team USA at the 2024 FIS World Junior Championships. These events provide important international standards, serve as a stepping stone to higher levels of international competition, and provide important opportunities for athletes to showcase their talents on the world stage.
The FIS Snowboard Cross World Junior Championships will be held from April 4th to 7th in Gudauri, Georgia. His invited CVA athletes are:
Borden Jerry, Class of 2024, from Carrabassett Valley, Maine.
Nathan Pare, graduate student, lives in Bethel, Maine
The FIS Ski Cross World Junior Ski Championships will be held from April 13th to April 15th in Idrefjöll, Sweden. His invited CVA athletes are:
Sullivan Butler, Class of 2024, from Carrabassett Valley, Maine.
Morgan Shute, Class of 2025, from Allendale, New Jersey.
Maggie Swain, Class of 2024, from Kingfield, Maine.
U.S. Ski & Snowboard magazine praised Team USA, saying, “Bringing together national team members and top U.S. ski and snowboard athletes from clubs across the United States, this year’s team is a hard-hitting team that has already competed on the World Cup stage.
