Two vacationing Kentucky teens were arrested on suspicion of stealing a golf cart from a Captiva store, but it was returned hours later with about $4,000 in damages. On Monday, Lee County deputies responded to YOLO Watersports, 11534 Andy Rosse Lane. . According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the owner told police that one of the golf carts behind the store had been stolen, damaged and returned the night before without permission. This was revealed in the store’s surveillance camera footage. Around 9:30 p.m., two young men entered the closed store on YOLO bicycles. The two went to the back of the store where they allegedly stole the golf cart, but returned several hours later and returned the cart to the same location. However, the teens didn’t restore the cart exactly to the condition they found it in… opting to cover the damage with a vinyl tarp. The owner believed the cart, valued at $14,000, had approximately $4,000 in damage. An investigation revealed that on Sunday night, detectives with the Sanibel Police Department stopped two teenagers who were riding in a YOLO golf cart. Grant Neal and Jack Fisher, both 18, were driving a cart on Sanibel-Captiva Road. Detectives followed the teens to Blind Pass so they could get home safely. Detectives contacted the teens’ parents and arranged to meet Neal and Fisher. Neal and Fisher’s prank booked them their next break inside the Lee County Jail, where they are facing robbery and grand larceny charges.

Video from the store’s surveillance camera revealed that two young men entered the closed store on YOLO bicycles around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. The two went to the back of the store where they allegedly stole the golf cart, but returned several hours later and returned the cart to the same location. However, the teens did not take the cart back exactly as they found it, instead choosing to hide the damage with a plastic tarp.
