To celebrate the art of transformation in the field of research, a new campaign titled “Transforming Research” is being launched by Digital Science.
Research Transformation, born out of Digital Science’s TL;DR initiative, is a challenge that lies ahead with an openness to change and, importantly, a willingness to collectively address these changes within organizations and across the broader research community. Focus on the future of AI. . Across his three themes, the new campaign aims to highlight the transformation of research in the context of:
- Transform research data into actionable insights
- Changes in the role of research are impacting both academia and industry
- We can explore innovative ways to make research more open, inclusive and collaborative for the benefit of all.
guided by Dr. Mark Harnell (Vice President of Open Research, Digital Science) and simon porter (Vice President, Research Futures), the campaign not only expands our understanding of the changes that research inspires, but also celebrates these changes and how they change.
“We are keen to explore research transformation from all angles, weaving together the stories of the research ecosystem and our own experiences of research transformation,” says Dr. Haenel.
“This campaign explores how the steady progress of digital transformation in society over the past 30 years has changed what it means to be a researcher, the careers that come from research, and what it means to do research today, with the current focus on AI. “We are changing the meaning of ” and will continue to do so. ”
The focus of the Research Transformation campaign is not only on digital systems, but also on people and organizations. We explore the link between research and industry, highlighting emerging research areas and seeing how new narratives are created and how we adapt to the potential for change. bring up.
“There is an art to change, and understanding the mechanics of change will help you make the most of the opportunities ahead,” Porter says.
“At Digital Science, we aim to provide products that enable research departments to evolve their research practices, from collaboration and discovery to analysis and management, and we have always aimed to be an integral part of research transformation. I did.”
“Every product and service that digital science has introduced to the market has not only met a need, but also inspired a transformation in practice in the field. I feel I have the expertise and look forward to engaging conversations with the research community, especially during this period of rapid evolution that we are facing.”
