Multiple Apple online services experienced an outage Wednesday afternoon, including television and music platforms.
Some users reported not being able to access the App Store, Apple TV, or Apple Music.
Other apps with reported issues include Arcade, Audiobooks, Books, Fitness Plus, and the Apple Sports app released earlier this year, according to the company’s system status page.
According to Downdetector, the issue was first reported just after 6pm ET and peaked about 45 minutes later.
“There was a problem loading this content. If this persists, please check your internet connection,” the Apple TV error message said.
Downdetector outage reports had dropped to a few dozen by 7:30 p.m. ET and continued to decline into the evening.
USA TODAY has reached out to Apple for comment.
Outage occurs following previous meta issue
Apple’s outage comes after multiple Meta users faced issues using WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram early Wednesday.
Downdetector reported about 82,000 incidents involving WhatsApp, many of which were resolved within an hour.
According to Downdetector, Instagram had about 3,700 incidents in a few hours, and Facebook had about 1,800 incidents in a few hours.
Apple announces that the outage has been resolved
Apple announced on Wednesday that it has resolved the App Store outage for its iOS and MacOS devices, as reported by CNBC.
This situation left many users confused as to whether they were the only ones affected.
“What’s going on and why is the Apple App Store down?” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Is anyone having trouble loading the App Store or Apple apps like Apple Music, TV+, Podcasts, etc.?” another user wrote.
