Two completely different smartphones, but two truly powerful products.
Needless to say, there are many differences here. In addition to having vastly different software, the two phones also look and feel completely different in the hand. This should be interesting. As you can see, these two phones look completely different. Both are made of metal and glass, but that’s about all they have in common. Both of these displays are excellent, to say the least. Both are very vivid, with deep blacks and excellent viewing angles. Touch response is great, and both displays are well protected. Both are very bright, but the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s panel is technically a little brighter. However, you will be satisfied with whichever you choose. Note that one is flat and the other is not.

Apple A17 Pro 3nm processor powers iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apple also packs 8GB of RAM in its flagships and uses NVMe storage. On the other hand, Xiaomi 14 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is a 4nm chip. Xiaomi has equipped this smartphone with 16GB of his LPDDR5X RAM, and inside he also uses UFS 4.0 flash storage.
From a performance standpoint, you can’t go wrong with either method. Both these smartphones offer good performance to say the least. Although they run completely different software, both handle excellent workloads. They can jump between apps and do all the things they do on a daily basis without a hitch while users move from one app to another. The game is a real test for them.
You’ll be happy to hear that both smartphones passed that test with flying colors. It can run the most demanding games in the respective app stores without any problems. Yes, they both get pretty hot during long gaming sessions, but I didn’t notice any performance drop on either smartphone. Also, both get pretty hot while gaming, but never got too hot.

I found it easy to cross the 7 hour screen on time mark. The iPhone 15 Pro Max turned out to be a bit longer in terms of battery life, but the difference wasn’t that big. Even reaching 8 hours of screen on time proved doable for both. Note that we didn’t play any games during that time and were mostly connected to WiFi. Of course, your experience may vary, in fact it almost certainly will. However, both have long battery life.
When it comes to charging, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra beats out the iPhone 15 Pro Max. All the other cameras on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra tended to offer a little more detail compared to what the iPhone 15 Pro Max had to offer. However, they all held up well during the day and at night. Both smartphones did a great job with high-zoom shots, but we preferred the Xiaomi’s shots most of the time, especially in slightly low-light shots. Both are great, but if I had to choose what to carry just for the camera, I’d probably choose the Xiaomi 14 Ultra due to its versatility and general look of images…well, most of the time. Even if it’s close, we still prefer the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s video output.

Both of these smartphones come with stereo speakers. These speakers are good on both ends, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s speakers are slightly louder. Both speakers are well balanced.
Neither of the two phones has an audio jack. However, you can always utilize the Type-C port to connect headphones. If you prefer wireless audio, the iPhone 15 Pro Max supports Bluetooth 5.3 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports Bluetooth 5.4.
