Following last month’s QPR2, today the Android 14 April security patch is rolling out for Pixel 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, and 8 Pro. This release was later in the afternoon than usual, with the Pixel Watch update released first.
The Android 14 April Patch dated April 1, 2024 resolved 8 security issues, and the Android 14 April Patch dated April 5, 2024 resolved 20 security issues. Vulnerabilities range from high to critical.
The Google device-specific publication lists 25 additional security fixes, including global builds only. Notably, Google said that his CVE-2024-29745 (High Severity, Bootloader) and his CVE-2024-29748 (High Severity, Pixel Firmware) “have limited and targeted exploitation. “You may be exposed to it,” he warns.
