This week’s U.S. Lacrosse Division II Women’s Top 20 has the top four West Chester, Pace, Maryville and Adelphi holding steady, but there’s been quite a bit of movement just behind those four teams, with undefeated Limestone and Highlighted by Lin’s huge jump.
Limestone, now 12-0, picked up its second win over a ranked foe last week, scoring the final four goals of the game to seal an 11-9 victory over No. 18 Anderson. The Saints have a good chance of remaining undefeated heading into the SAC showdown with No. 15 Wingate on April 13th.
Lin’s upset win over No. 10 Embry-Riddle last Saturday extended his winning streak to nine games and his second win against a top-10 opponent in eight days. Sophomore Rebecca Clark was the hero for Lynn, scoring the winning goal with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter for a 17-16 victory.
Notable games on this week’s calendar include No. 17 Mount Olive vs. No. 15 Wingate, No. 14 Kutztown vs. No. 1 Westchester, and No. 9 Florida Southern vs. No. 10 Embry-Riddle.
