50% off: Best TWS for Android now half price | Technology News

There is a belief that wine gets better with age. Well, if that’s true, Google’s Pixel Buds will be his TWS equivalent to vine in the tech audio realm. These were launched in mid-2022 as a pair of premium TWS priced at a hefty Rs 19,990, and received generally positive reviews for their audio quality, but also lack of spatial audio, head tracking, etc. , there wasn’t even a graphic equalizer. Almost two years later, the Pixel Buds Pro are still on the market and not only are they still Google’s flagship TWS, but they’ve also been significantly improved thanks to a series of updates from Google. Best of all, there are special offers tied to certain banks and credit cards that allow you to buy for significantly lower prices, usually around Rs 11,990, but often less than Rs 10,000. At this price, these are definitely the best premium TWS you can get. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say that it’s probably the best TWS available to Android users.

They may be a few years old, but the Pixel Buds Pro (review) still have a very distinctive look. It comes in a very compact oval case with the look and feel of a pebble. Originally released in a single charcoal shade with black buds inside a slightly off-white case, Buds Pro now also comes in baby blue and porcelain shades, which look really great. Pixel Buds Pro are classic in-ear earbuds that sit deep in your ear and don’t have a “stem.” Each earbud has a small Google logo and has touch controls. The buds and case are very smartly packaged, with each bud measuring less than 1 inch and the case being just over 2 inches long. Each bud weighs approximately 6 grams, including the case approximately 62 grams. The case has a magnet so you can easily open and close it with one hand.

Overall, the Pixel Buds Pro are very compact and won’t get in the way in your pocket. Their small size also means they don’t pop out of your ears when you use them, and they don’t end up looking like something Frankenstein created in a lab. Both the buds and case are splash-proof. The buds are IPX4 rated and the case is IPX2 rated. Simply put, it’s great for use at the gym or during light rain, but don’t submerge it in water.

Sounds great (probably even better than before)

They’re sleek and lightweight, but what’s special about Pixel Buds Pro is their performance. Pairs seamlessly with Pixel smartphones, but works equally well with other Android devices using the Pixel Buds app. In fact, you can also access many features from your Bluetooth device’s settings. Pairing is as easy as opening the case and pressing a single button on the back to put the earbuds into pairing mode. Once paired, you’ll get surprisingly high-quality sound with a touch of bass from the 11mm dynamic drivers. And if you don’t like what you hear, you can also create your own custom audio signature by simply toggling different settings in the equalizer (added in an update). The volume is great, and if you have a Pixel handy, you can also enable spatial audio and head tracking. In terms of audio quality, we’d rate it on par with Sony’s WF-1000XM5 (review) and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, but with a slightly “bassier” sound. Clarity levels are excellent, perfect for gaming (it has a very nice low-latency mode), watching movies, live TV broadcasts (especially when spatial audio is supported), shows, and podcasts. Their phone support is also amazing, definitely one of the best we’ve ever used.

This is complemented by very good ANC, effective transparency mode and speech recognition, with the buds switching to transparency mode the moment it detects that you are speaking. The ANC isn’t multi-layered like his other TWSs, but it actually works very well and is useful enough even on airplanes and in noisy cafes. To ensure maximum external noise isolation through passive and active noise cancellation, we recommend using an ear tip fit test to get the best tips.

festive offer

Great battery, great controls, and affordable price (if you don’t have an iPhone)

There are some other very nice touches as well. The ‘Hearing Health’ section of the app will advise you about the volume at which you are hearing audio. And since it’s Google, it’s integrated with the awesome Google Assistant, which lets you do a lot just by using your voice. Best of all, the Buds’ touch controls are the best we’ve ever seen on his TWS this side of AirPods. The touch surface of the buds may seem small, but it works great. Swipe back and forth to control volume, a simple tap to handle calls and tracks, and a long press to enter ANC mode. Simple and very effective. Battery life is also very good, around 7-8 hours with the buds (10-12 hours with and without ANC) and around 20 hours with the case (10 more hours with and without ANC). In the best premium TWS tradition, wireless charging is also supported.

Just to be clear, it’s not all roses. To get the most out of these earphones, you’ll need a relatively recent Pixel. Doesn’t work well on iPhone. While the iPhone offers good sound and decent ANC, it doesn’t offer many of the other features you get on Android and can’t be updated. Google also keeps these TWS packages very basic. Only TWS and some additional ear tips are provided. There’s not even a USB Type-C cable there, but with the price down, it’s less of a hassle than it used to be.

In short, they may do well over the years, but the new pricing makes the Pixel Buds Pro probably the best premium TWS available for around Rs 10,000 for Android (in fact, the best works). It’s easy to use, sounds great, has very good ANC, makes great calls, and handles Google Assistant brilliantly. Top it off with great battery life and a very smart design with a splash-proof case. We think the Pixel Buds Pro are one of the best TWS Buds that Android users can buy. It may have seemed a little limited when it first launched, but with frequent updates, it’s now capable of competing with the most powerful games. And at a price of around Rs 10,000 (he costs Rs 9,999 on Flipkart at the time of writing), it’s unbeatable. The only good reason not to buy it is to have an iPhone.
