Apple announces WWDC dates
Apple is under pressure to deliver meaningful AI-based products this year. With smartphone competitors nearly a year ahead of Tim Cook and his team, Worldwide Developers will be making their AI efforts publicly available. I already know what it will be.
“WWDC will be held one week later than usual, starting Monday, June 10th, and running through the following Friday, June 14th… It will begin as usual with a keynote address. Apple has not yet revealed the time, but it will be held from Monday, June 10th to the following Friday, June 14th. 10 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time in this case.As with last year, it will be held online, but there will be a special event in person on Monday.”

Latest iPhone 16 Pro details
AI may be the next big buzzword, but as we’ve previously discussed, it won’t be the Killer app that sells phones on its own. There’s something even more powerful than that…the color of your phone. This week, the colorways of the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro model were revealed…Rose Gold, Natural Titanium, and Space Black:
“If you’re disappointed that these colors don’t stand out, remember that the current Pro crop is also subdued, leaving the iPhone 15 series with (slightly) brighter colors. Perhaps this year’s phones will reflect that.”

iPhone 16 requires AI lift
We also have details on the vanilla iPhone 16 series. Apple has worked hard to create a generation gap between the two by equipping the iPhone 15 with his A16 and the iPhone 15 Pro with his A17 Pro. But if Apple is going to go all-in on AI, the iPhone 16 will need even more power. It is as follows:
“The first information comes from well-known leaker @Tech_Reve (via TechRadar), who claims that the iPhone 16 will come with additional RAM and storage capacity, allowing AI to do more. Analyst Jeff Pu also believes the A18 Pro chipset will do the same, powering the phone’s on-device AI.”

Folding iPhone delay
AI isn’t the only area where Apple is lagging. The other is foldable smartphones, and the company’s plans to compete with the likes of Samsung and Honor have been delayed for at least another three years…even if Apple is still stockpiling parts.
“Apple leadership said that after considering preparations for various items, including the supply of foldable displays, the launch of the foldable iPhone has been adjusted from Q4 2026 to Q1 2027. Regardless of major component manufacturers such as displays, suppliers are expected to proceed with work according to their original schedules.”

Important fixes added to MacBook
In response to critical bugs found in macOS 14.4, Apple has pushed an interim release of 14.4.1. This minor update should resolve the issue that occurred earlier this month, as users have been asked to refrain from upgrading to the 14.4 version.
“MacOS 14.4… Users reported that some USB devices stopped working after the update and required changing privacy and security settings to allow connections. An older version of a file was deleted and the Java process crashed unexpectedly.” on Macs with Apple Silicon. ”

new camera for ipad
It looks like the next iPad release will be delayed until May, but there’s good news for those waiting. Apple may eventually include forward-facing cameras along the long sides, allowing for a more pleasant landscape experience.
iPad already has this. It’s time for iPad Pro to join the revolution.
“Currently, the front-facing camera on the iPad Air and iPad Pro is located at the top of the device, meaning that when you use the device in landscape mode, such as with the Magic Keyboard, the camera is on the left side.” It was moved to the side of the device to improve the landscape experience, and the company hasn’t launched a new iPad since.”

Amazing speedup of iPhone 12
Apple has prepared a surprise for iPhone 12 owners. 2020 phones have always been able to wirelessly charge at 15W using MagSafe, but were limited to a slower 7.5W using the open Qi standard. With the release of iOS 17.4, the 15W Qi2 standard is now available, making fast charging from any wireless charger available to everyone.
“Although not officially announced by Apple, iOS 17.4 appears to remove Qi2 support for the iPhone 12. After a series of tests and feedback from Macworld readers, the iPhone 12 now supports wireless charging speeds of up to 15W when connected magnetically. Proven to work with non-MagSafe Qi2 chargers. ”

And finally…
How much do you spend on an iPhone? What about your first iPhone? What about the first iPhone with too little memory? This week he decided that $100,00 was the right amount.
“In mid-March, a 4GB original release iPhone was auctioned at LCG Auctions. This model is in excellent condition, noted for having 7 of the 8 corners sharp, no fading, and no dents around the edges. LCG expected that this model would bring in more than $100,000 in profit, which it did.The final selling price was $130,27.20.The main reason for the high selling price was is a rarity. Apple discontinued the 4GB model on September 5, 2007, just over two months after its release.”
