Google introduces Circle to Search feature with translation function for Android smartphones

Google is expanding its innovative Circle to Search feature to a wider range of Android devices, introducing new features and accessibility improvements, including translation features. First announced in January with his Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Circle to Search allows users to search for information directly on the screen by circling or scribbling on content. Google aims to make this feature more accessible and useful for Android users by rolling it out broadly.

Powered by AI, Circle to Search allows Android users to search around items on their screen without leaving their current app. Initially, it was available on the latest Pixel and Samsung flagship devices, such as the Pixel 8 series and Galaxy S24 lineup, but now Google has expanded its range significantly. The upcoming One UI 6.1 update will also benefit Samsung users, bringing Circle to Search to the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Flip 5, and Tab S9 series. Availability details for other Android devices are limited, but hints in Samsung’s support documents suggest they could be available by October.

In addition to the broader rollout, Google is integrating translation functionality directly into Circle to Search, eliminating the need for a separate translation app. Users can now translate on-screen text with a single tap, streamlining the process and improving workflow efficiency, especially when working with foreign languages ​​in documents, PDFs, or web pages.

Additionally, Google is enhancing the shopping experience within Search by providing more personalized style recommendations for apparel, shoes, and accessories. Users can now receive curated options based on their past preferences, and rate options with a thumbs up or down or swipe gesture to get better tailored results for future searches. You can get
