Samsung releases one major and two minor updates to One UI every year. The smaller ones are released about six months apart alongside Samsung’s flagship and foldable smartphones, and outweigh the larger One UI updates that accompany each new version of Android, both in download size and number of new features. is also small scale.

The One UI 6.1 update brings the Galaxy AI experience to select Samsung smartphones and tablets, so it’s not too far away from the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update in terms of the number of new features.
In fact, Android and One UI updates are generally less exciting. Mobile operating systems have matured over the years, and there’s not much Google or Samsung can do to make these updates feel like the big events they once were. years ago.
