ASUS’ ROG Phone Phone 8 is 7.5 percent faster than iPhone 15 Pro Max in Call of Duty Mobile Warzone, but only with ‘High’ graphics option

Call of Duty Mobile Warzone was recently released on iOS. This can only mean a proper comparison showdown between Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max and the top gaming smartphone could decide which device comes out on top. This time, ASUS’ ROG Phone 8 Pro beat its rival by 7.5%, but only with the “HIGH” graphics option.

Galaxy S24 Ultra performs worse than iPhone 15 Pro Max at high settings despite having a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

The chart image uploaded by Dame Tech shows the three flagships used to run Call of Duty Mobile Warzone. iPhone 15 Pro Max, ROG Phone 8 Pro, Galaxy S24 Ultra. As you can see from the image, only the iPhone 15 Pro Max was tested with the “PEAK” graphics setting. This is because Android flagships powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen do not support this visual option, and at the moment we do not know whether this is due to a lack of software optimization or simply because Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has more demanding requirements. This may be due to the inability to respond to the current situation, or perhaps because no conclusion has been reached. Game quality.

In any case, at high graphics settings, ASUS’ ROG Phone 8 Pro was 7.5% faster than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, posting a frame rate of 81.3FPS. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, on the other hand, can only manage 56.7FPS despite having an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It is believed that the ROG Phone 8 Pro’s superior cooling solution made possible its 8-core CPU cluster and Adreno 750 GPU. It runs at maximum capacity, resulting in higher frame rates than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

But what’s impressive about the iPhone 15 Pro Max is that it doesn’t have a rugged vapor chamber like the ROG Phone 8 Pro, allowing it to maintain a solid-state temperature of 41 degrees Celsius that rivals its competitors’ thermals while still delivering healthy frame rates. It’s pushing it up. The A17 Pro’s efficient 3nm process probably helped this comparison a lot. With the “PEAK” graphics option, the iPhone 15 Pro Max records a frame rate of 62FPS, but it’s still a smooth experience.

We hope to see more comparisons once Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 launches later this year and allows you to run Call of Duty Mobile Warzone at its highest visual settings. For now, if you have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, you are one of the lucky ones.
