Epic sci-fi, stop-motion horror, and Shake Shake Go live in France.

“RANKIN: Sound Off (Musicians 1990 – 2023)” London, UK

We interviewed the famous British photographer Mr. Rankin. last year’s interviewa new exhibition opens at London’s Tinman Gallery.

From the Spice Girls and Madonna to the Rolling Stones and David Bowie, Rankin has spent the past 30 years photographing some of the world’s most iconic musicians. Here, visitors can not only see Rankin up close, but also learn more about his creative process and, in particular, behind-the-scenes anecdotes that capture the essence of the British music scene.

Red Rainstorm, Pyramid, London, UK

It smells like art! Renowned perfume designer Aj Glasser has created ‘Red Rainstorm,’ a giant ‘fragrance pyramid’ that forms part of a new exhibition called ‘Seeing Red’ at London’s Phillips Gallery. The Pyramid was launched.

“We created the scent ‘Red Rainstorm.’ It literally captures the essence of rainstorm: the scent of cold rain hitting a warm pavement,” Azzi explained in a press release. The shocking harmony of wet ground, mud, concrete pavement, wet grass, water, roadside, tar, and the smell of dust was captured and recreated. ”

It can be experienced until March 24th and can also be purchased for £65,000 (€75,673).

London Original Print Fair 2024, UK

New works by Bou Saville, Grayson Perry and Paul Morrison coexist with rare prints by Picasso, Bacon, Freud and Eminat. London Original Print Fair (LOPF) Held at Somerset House from 21st to 24th March, it showcases the breadth of the history of printmaking and the diversity of its many forms. More than 40 different art dealers will be in attendance, selling antiques and signed prints, as well as opportunities to attend a variety of workshops and academic talks.

‘stop-motion’

A young stop-motion animator named Ella (Aisling Franciosi) is making a movie about a girl lost in the woods who is chased by an evil flesh-and-blood figure known as “Ashman.” As Ella brings her own story to life, she also sets into motion her darkest psychological demons, becoming increasingly obsessive and gruesome. Directed by real-world stop-motion specialist Robert Morgan, the film is one of the best horror films of the year so far, full of melting trauma-induced reality and creative success. It depicts the cost of spending money from a fresh and visually striking perspective.

One tip: Don’t eat any kind of meat while watching.

TV series

3 Physical problems

Based on the science fiction novel by Liu Cixin and adapted for television by Game of Thrones creators David Benioff, DB Weiss, and Alexander Wu (True Blood), the new Netflix series is a true sprawling spectacle. It is a type of you would expect. Spanning past, present, and future through tragic events that ripple through time and space in the direction of a potential alien invasion, this material is dense, yet wondrous and captivating.

Book

“The Morningside” by Thea Obrecht

One of the books introduced in the special feature 2024 Book Preview, we were really looking forward to American author Thea Obret’s latest novel. Set against the backdrop of a war-torn world, the film follows the story of a displaced mother and daughter who move into a now dilapidated luxury high-rise in a flooded island city, searching for meaning, identity and secrets. I’m drawing a story.

“Shake Shake Go”, France

French-Welsh pop band Shake Shake Go is currently touring France. I met and interviewed them last year. – (Shake Shake) I highly recommend going!

Gossip: “True Power”

Many people of a certain age will remember The Gossip’s 2006 hit song “Standing in the Way of Control.” The song became synonymous with teenage debauchery after it was used as a promotional soundtrack for the British television show Skins. Twelve years after their last album, the band made up of Beth Ditto, Brace Payne and Hannah Briley are finally back with their sixth studio effort.

According to a press release, it’s a “celebration of creative expression” and the power that comes from making family choices in the wake of “collective and individual trauma.”
