Road construction is almost a part of everyday life for people living in and around Uptown Rogers. “I think this is outrageous,” resident Lindsey Reese said. “It’s very difficult to get around, but we can only hope that it gets better in the future as everything is completed.” Workers are working on the roundabout at Pinnacle Hills Parkway and Pauline Whitaker Parkway. Construction extends down Pauline Whittaker Parkway to South Champions Drive. The entrance to Pinnacle His Country Club will also be closed for a period of time. Small business owners in the neighborhood are learning how to make the most of this time. Vanessa Vasil also stocks helmets at her boutique, just a few blocks from the busy Rotary. “It’s definitely had an impact on my business, but I can predict it will be very beneficial in the future,” said Vanessa Vasil, owner of Apricot Lane Boutique. Vasil is using social media to spread the word that his store is still open at a time when some people may be avoiding the area. Neighboring businesses are doing the same. “We are a local company,” Vasil said. “Please continue to support us.” Progress certainly requires patience. People who live in this area try to remember that when planning their day. “I try to take more time before I leave the house to go to work or go somewhere,” Reese says. “Or if I’m on my way home and there’s heavy traffic, I try to take a different route.” “Some parts of the work will take just a few weeks to complete, while others will take months.” Businesses in the area remain open and open for business.” Accessible by car.
