1. Notification cooldown

2. New keyboard and brightness haptics options

No more fiddling with keyboard settings on third-party keyboards to turn off keypress vibration. Android 15 adds a toggle that allows users to turn off keyboard vibration. This may not seem like a big feature, but most third-party Android keyboards have keypress vibrations enabled by default, so it can significantly improve your quality of life.

Android 15 also adds haptic feedback when adjusting the brightness slider from Quick Settings. This was previously tested and is now fully enabled in Android 15.

3. Continue using apps on the Fold

The Pixel Fold is missing one of the most distinctive features of foldables: when you fold the phone’s main display, apps move to the outer display and resume. , still amazes us.

Android expert Mishaal Rahman first discovered this feature in Android 14 QPR1 Beta 1, but didn’t see it mentioned until Android 15 DP1.

Unfortunately, it’s still unclear whether this feature will arrive in the next feature drop or in the Android 15 stable release, so Pixel Fold users will have to wait a little longer to experience this feature.

4. Bluetooth quick settings tile

One basic thing that was missing from the Bluetooth quick settings button on Pixel devices was a pop-out menu similar to the one found in Wi-Fi quick settings. This feature was introduced in the recent Android 14 QPR 3 Beta 1 and could arrive as early as the next feature drop, so it’s not an entirely new feature per se. It would be a shame if Google kept this feature until his Android 15 stable release.

5. Single app screen recording

Again, this is technically an Android 14 feature and was added in Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1, so it’s not a completely new feature, but it’s included in Android 15.

For those who don’t know, you previously could only record the entire screen, but this ends up showing off unnecessary information. However, the “Single App” option in the screen recording menu gives you the freedom to record only the apps you want to record.

For those wondering what happens when you try to move to another app, this feature will continue to record as long as the app being recorded is active in Recent Apps. Recording will stop if you remove the app from the multitasking view.

6. New Easter Egg

If you’re a geek, you might already know that Android 15 is internally codenamed Vanilla Ice Cream. Every time a new OS is released, it provides easter eggs for new Android versions. 7. New Health Connect feature
