JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Saturday, mark your calendars for a night of fun, science, and community spirit as the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History (MOSH) hosts its highly anticipated “MOSH Galaxy Gala.” First Coast News, On Your Side meteorologist Robert Speta visited his MOSH and gave a glimpse into the excitement of the event.
If you love fun, MOSH Galaxy Gala is the place for you. The newly appointed CEO of MOSH, Alistair Dove, expressed his enthusiasm as he revealed that this gala was his second MOSH Galaxy.
“The MOSH Galaxy Gala is a celebration in support of the Genesis Campaign, proudly presented by our partners at CSX,” said Katie Borghese, co-chair of the Galaxy Gala.

The anticipated move from its current location near Friendship Fountain to an upstream location near Metroparks represents a significant expansion, not just a change of venue.
“Jacksonville is ready for something new and big,” Dove said. first coast news.
Dove said the idea is to build a $100 million museum that will not only be a landmark, but also bring world-class science and education to the heart of Jacksonville.
But what exactly can attendees expect from the gala?
MOSH aims to make a significant contribution to fostering scientific literacy in the community through interactive experiences such as galas and educational programs.
“Science and education underpin everything we do,” Borghese said. “A well-prepared workforce and the scientific knowledge of a well-informed population are essential.”
The event is open to the public and starts at 7pm on Saturday (VIP cocktail pre-party starts at 6pm) and tickets can be purchased here.
