The popular emulation tool ES-DE is now available for Android from the Amazon Appstore.
Dear emulation fans, today is a day to rejoice, a day to dance in the streets and shout from the rooftops (But quietly), because EmulationStation is finally available on Android.
This new release emulator frontend Esde It was born after a substantial battle with Google, at least as detailed by Leon Styhre, the developer of this great piece of software, as explained on the project’s Discord.
Styhre shared news about the launch on Tuesday, February 20th, and shared that ES-DE is now available via the Amazon Appstore. They described the Android version, which costs about $5, as follows:Paid (but cheap)”.
Styhre also explained that they are trying to get the app on the main Google Play store, but are currently having a number of issues with the company regarding the new app process.

This must be a very frustrating process, but Mr. Styhre also posted the app anyway on the Google Play Store. He also said he would continue to try to get it published on , which is good to know.
Not only is this good news for those using Android phones and tablets, but it’s also a nice boost for those using Android-based retro gaming devices such as the Retroid Pocket 4. There are also other options that help the user to have all his ROMs in one place. However, EmulationStation is one of my favorites for making the whole emulation process a little bit cleaner.
