The Syracuse women’s basketball team continues to climb in the national polls with five straight wins. On Tuesday, Syracuse moved up three spots to No. 17 in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll. Head coach Felisha Leggett-Jack led the team to its second 20-win season under her guidance, and the Orange earned their highest ranking of the season this week.
The ‘Cuse went 2-0 on the road last week, defeating Miami by 11 points and Virginia by six points, and will play their final two home games this week at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse is 22-4 overall and 12-3 in the ACC, marking its first 12-win ACC season since 2015-16.
Orange-faced Duke will play Orange Out Thursday at 7 p.m. Fans in attendance are encouraged to wear orange during the game. SU then hosts Senior Day in Pittsburgh on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra online or via the ESPN app.
After Sunday’s game, the Orange will honor five players from the 202 teams. daisha fair and Alaina RiceA player who has exhausted his eligibility and is playing in his final home game of the regular season at Syracuse, as well as graduate student Isabelle Varejean. dominique campand senior Cheyenne McEvans.
