Android 15 now allows universal toggle for keyboard vibration settings

The first build of Android 15 is available in the form of Developer Preview 1 and Pixel users can install it on their phones very easily. This first build is mostly for developers, but there are small changes here that subtly add to the overall Android experience. Android 15 now has a universal setting to toggle keyboard vibration. This is useful for users who want to use multiple keyboard apps.

as Mishal Rahman Android 15 Developer Preview 1 has a new “Keyboard Vibration” toggle, Settings > Sound and vibration > Vibration and haptics. As the name suggests, this toggle disables haptics in the keyboard app.

Admittedly, this change is small and won’t be noticeable to most users, but it makes it very easy for anyone to toggle the keyboard vibration settings without having to look for the toggle within the Keyboard app’s settings.

If you use multiple keyboards (for example, one for English and one for your local language), you can take advantage of Android 15’s keyboard vibration settings to control both apps. Turning this off at the Android system level saves you a few clicks within the Keyboard app, but you can also turn off the setting within the Keyboard app.
