All new features in Android 15 Developer Preview 1 [Gallery]

The first developer preview of Android 15 is available today and we’re taking a look at what new features were introduced in DP1.

Over the next few hours, we’ll take a closer look at all the new features and all the changes in Android 15 Developer Preview 1. (The latest updates appear at the top of this list. • Settings > Sound and vibration > Vibration and haptics
• Similar settings can be made in Gboard settings

notification cooldown

• [設定]>[通知]> Scroll to the bottom
• “If you receive many notifications in a row from the same app, gradually lower the notification volume.”
• Options include:
  • Apply cooldown to all notifications
  • Apply a cooldown to conversations
  • Don’t use notification cooldown

Known issues

Android platform

• An issue with sideloading Developer Preview 1 builds may cause a “Device is corrupted” message to appear on your device after sideloading is complete. To avoid this issue, we recommend that developers test devices by flashing their factory images whenever possible, rather than sideloading their OTA system images.
• While adding a face model for Face Unlock, the preview screen appears cropped or cropped.
• If an app window is transitioning to picture-in-picture (PiP) mode and the device is rotated before the PiP transition is complete, the PiP window disappears.
• When a locked SIM card is inserted into an unlocked device, the user is not prompted to enter a PIN to unlock the SIM card. To work around this issue, manually lock and unlock your device.

• Google Play Store may crash with a null pointer exception when you try to update an app.
• The Google TV app may fail to start playing videos and instead displays a message that says “Play Movies & TV is temporarily unavailable.”

Android Studio and tools

• Android 15 preview API level (VanillaIceCream)[プレビュー構成]It is not displayed in the window.
• When you check for updates in Android Studio, you may not be offered the latest version of Android SDK Build-Tools, including the Android 15 Preview SDK.
• When configuring a new project in Android Studio, the Android 15 Preview SDK version is[ターゲット SDK バージョン]and[最小 SDK バージョン]It doesn’t appear in the drop-down menu.
• When an Android virtual device (AVD) that uses an Android 15 system image is started in embedded mode, it may fail to start.
• When an Android virtual device (AVD) that uses an Android 15 system image is booted and restarted using adb reboot or other methods, the AVD appears as offline.
• Due to an issue with the Android emulator, you may not be able to redeploy an app to an Android virtual device (AVD) after the AVD is closed.
• An issue with the Android emulator causes accessibility shortcuts on hearing devices to launch multiple Settings app windows.
• An issue with the Android emulator causes the notification window to flicker while typing a direct reply.
• An issue with the Android emulator may cause the app’s authentication flow to fail, resulting in the message “Google Play services keeps stopping.”
• An issue with the Android emulator causes Simpleperf to crash when running CPU profiles.
• An issue with the Android emulator causes incorrect characters to appear in the languages ​​listed in the system language settings.
• An issue with the Android emulator may cause the QR code scanner to display a “Something went wrong” message and fail to launch.
• On some Android virtual devices, the Android QR code scanner’s viewfinder may be cropped or resized to a smaller size.
• Skia is not yet compatible with the Android 15 Preview SDK, so you can’t enable 3D mode in Layout Inspector.
• An issue in Android Studio causes the “System image not found…” warning message to temporarily disappear in Device Manager after you add or remove an SDK platform using SDK Manager.
• In some cases, the Google Discover feed may not load due to issues with the Android emulator.
