The Hanscom Air Force Base Small Business Program Office will host a free small business panel from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. March 11 at the Boston Marriott Newton Hotel in Newton, Massachusetts.
During the event, attendees will hear from organizations based at Hanscom Air Force Base. This includes senior leadership in command, control, communications, intelligence and networks. Digital; nuclear command, control, and communications integration. and contracts. Representatives from Hanscom’s Small Business Program Office also participated. Representatives from the General Services Administration and the U.S. Small Business Administration, Area 1, will also participate.
The panel is open to anyone, but Hanscom Air Force Base officials note it will likely be most beneficial to those in small and non-traditional businesses.
“This panel discussion is one of the few local events that involves the Hanscom AFB organization, SBA and GSA,” said Andrea Panagoulias, local small business program director. “We bring these groups together to help the industry understand how we work together to deliver smart acquisition solutions that support our mission.”
Along these lines, program board leaders will talk about how they consider and leverage small businesses to fulfill their mission. Additional topics planned include recent SBA legislation and how the SBA can help small businesses, the unique features of the GSA Federal Supply Schedule and strategies created to maximize small business participation, Includes insights on innovative contracting strategies, including information on the government’s Small Business Innovation Survey. “We look forward to this event every year because it gives us the opportunity to hear what our panelists think is top of mind for our industry,” Panagoulias said. “Last year the venue was sold out and we expect the same to be the case this year, so we strongly encourage anyone interested in attending to register and reserve their seats as soon as possible.”
There will be no virtual option for the panel, and this event is separate from the AFCEA New Horizons event, which will be held at the same location from March 11-13.
