The “Send Feedback” tool in all Google mobile apps has recently been redesigned to provide a more step-by-step, somewhat conversational experience.
Google places “Help & Feedback” near the settings in most applications. This can be found in your navigation drawer or account menu. You’ll see “Send Feedback” after the list of popular help articles.
Previously, it opened a full-screen UI with an account picker and a large text field, along with the ability to attach screenshots and system logs.
This redesign utilizes “Send feedback to Google” to summarize the process. Answer some questions, edit screenshots, and share your feedback. For the Play Store, Google will ask you to “Report a problem” or “Suggest an idea.”
If you choose the former, your options are:
- Download/install the app
- Make in-app purchases
- get a refund
- Report charges
- Purchase or subscribe to content
- Purchase or use a gift card
- other
Next, you will see a text field where voice input is provided and the ability to attach a screenshot (using the editing tools). The final step, which will be sent automatically after this, is whether you allow Google to “email you details and updates.”
This feedback redesign is available for most Android apps and some iOS apps, including Gmail, Google Play, Search, and Gemini. It’s not reflected in Google Messages yet, but the online experience (side panel) remains unchanged.
