Faculty from New York University Plattsburgh, New York join Miner’s staff to share their love of science

CHAZZY, N.Y. — The Miner Institute, in collaboration with the State University of New York Plattsburgh Department of Science, is pleased to announce the third annual Science Saturday event on Saturday, March 23, at the Miner Institute’s Joseph C. Burke Education and Research Center. I’m happy. This event aims to: It’s an opportunity for middle school and high school students to learn about careers in science, specifically what science programs are offered at SUNY Plattsburgh.

The event will feature interactive stations from chemistry, biology, earth and environmental science, and physics faculty. Members of the North His Country Planetarium at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh will also be there to give a brief presentation about the upcoming solar eclipse. Event participants will receive Eclipse glasses as a gift. Representatives from the admissions office will also provide information and answer questions.

This event is free of charge and open to middle school and high school students and their parents. It starts at 10am and ends around 1pm. We will provide light snacks.
