2024 New York Business Plan Competition now accepting applications — Syracuse University News

The New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC), supported by Upstate Capital, is now accepting applications from graduate and undergraduate students at Central New York universities for the Central New York Regional Qualifier until Friday, March 1st. Accepted. This year’s regional competition will be held on Friday, March 22nd at SUNY Oswego’s downtown Syracuse campus. The top two teams in the region, selected by local business and community leaders, advance to three rounds of finals and the final competition. Thursday, April 25, in Albany.

This competition promotes entrepreneurial opportunities for college students across the state who pitch their business plans to experienced investors. You will also have the opportunity to interact with business leaders and judges. The final event will connect students and business professionals, provide experiential learning opportunities through competitions, connect entrepreneurs with Entrepreneurship Expo resources, and award up to $100,000 in prizes to help seed new ventures. I will award it.

Students will compete in one of the following tracks:

  • Food and agricultural technology.
  • health and well-being.
  • Learn, work and live.
  • Safety, power and mobility.
  • Products and Hardware.and
  • Software and Services.

Aditee Malviya G’25, a student in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, has been selected as a student ambassador on Blackstone LaunchPad to share entrepreneurial resources and spread the word about competitions on the Syracuse University campus.

Students at area colleges and universities can enter the Central New York contest here and designate Central New York as their region.
