The global launch of Xiaomi 14 comes just one day before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, with further launches expected from brands such as Honor, Tecno, and Nothing. Unfortunately, the Pro variant is not available globally.
Of course, we already know what Xiaomi 14 packs thanks to its debut in China. It is one of the first smartphones to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and also includes Xiaomi’s new HyperOS user interface.
In terms of design, Xiaomi stuck to the angular iPhone-style feel of the Xiaomi 13. Xiaomi 14 also has a 6.36-inch 1200 x 2670 AMOLED screen. The display provides a maximum brightness of 3000 nits of heat.
Xiaomi is doubling down on its collaboration with Leica. This phone is equipped with a Leica-branded 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera (75mm), and a 50MP ultrawide shooter.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra also makes its global debut
In addition to the standard version, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will finally make its global debut a few days after its launch in China. The top-of-the-line model has serious photography capabilities with a main camera that flaunts a large 1-inch type sensor (Sony LYT-900) and a variable aperture ranging from f/1.63 to f/4.0. A whopping 1,024 stops.
Highlighting the phone’s photography capabilities, Xiaomi is reintroducing a photography kit for the 14 Ultra that includes a camera grip and shutter release button for the handset.
The accessories look cool, but the real thing is inside your phone. Next to the main his 50MP 1 inch type sensor there are three more his 50MP cameras. A telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom, a periscope with 5x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide camera with a wide 122-degree field of view.

However, it’s worth noting that the 14 Pro boasts fast charging speeds of up to 120W, while the 14 Ultra has 90W. Additionally, the 14 Ultra supports up to 80W wireless fast charging.
Android flagship smartphones often compete fiercely to offer top-notch camera experiences. In the early days, it was all about the megapixel wars, but it turns out megapixels don’t tell the whole story.
Xiaomi, on the other hand, takes a different approach, pursuing the sweet spot between versatility, high megapixels, and quality sensors. The new Xiaomi 14 Ultra seems poised to strike that perfect balance and become the ultimate camera smartphone this year.
